I am writing a blog during World Civilizations.

So basically, I am really bored whenever I am in World Civilizations, so I decided to perhaps write the longest blog that I have ever written. Then again, none of my blogs are of any considerable length... Regardless, I have already stated my goal and have begun my quest to write this, but haven’t actually said anything. I guess I should start by talking about myself or what I have done recently, right? That’s what people usually do in blogs, and I guess that means me, so I will begin doing just that.

Yesterday I had a really top notch terrific day. I really didn’t have much to do in the morning, so I decided to read my Bible to start my day. That seems like a pretty great idea, and it actually was the best possible way that I could have started my day. After reading, I sat on the couch for a good while, doing absolutely nothing. That was great too. I needed to go pick up my test from Dr. Alcorn, so I left for my comparative arts class a tad bit early. I found out that I actually got an A on it, which is pretty great. I was super happy about that, and our class wasn’t half bad. After class, I had to go to work, which I wasn’t that pumped about. As I was about to go in to work, my phone rang. Lo and behold, it was Erik Merideth, my admissions counselor from Judson. He told me that my transcript was received, and that I was admitted to the school. Huzzah, that means I am definitely going to Judson this next fall, pursuing a career in Graphic design. Right on. Needless to say, getting that bit of news really felt good, and I really didn’t mind working.

I get in to Starbucks, and our Assistant Manager greets me with a huge smile, which either means she is pissed but has a creepy smile, or maybe she’s super happy, which is just about as scary. It turns out that it is neither, and she tells me that our Starbucks ended up being fourth in the nation for espresso machine sales this past term/quarter/contest time or whatnot, and that Howard Schultz is buying every barista in our store a brand new iPod touch. Freaking crazy, eh? So, apparently good things just kept happening to me yesterday. Later, on my meal break, I got a free burrito from Chipotle! Crazy! I love Chipotle, and I love free things, so the two placed together was just great. Basically, not a whole lot happened yesterday, so I am now running out of things to talk about.

Well, that’s not entirely true, there is a whole world of things to talk about. Which reminds me, our band from high school is getting back together. That’s pretty tight. We’re under a new name, however, and that name is adnascentia. Strange word, huh? Yes it is. It is actually an archaic English word that means: root-like branches that sprout into the earth. So it’s cool. We are actually on myspace, so if you are one of my myspace friends reading this, check us out. Actually, if you are one of my Myspace friends reading this, NO FREAKING WAY! I didn’t know that people actually read this... I don’t get comments, I don’t get kudos (what ARE kudos, anyway?), and the only thing that tells me that someone reads these is the little blog counter to the left of my screen. Apparently this blog has had 57 views on myspace.

Wow. Moving on, Adnascentia will be playing a ton of shows this summer, and there is even a rumor that we will be playing at Cornerstone, believe it or not. If that actually happens, we will definitely let you know. If any of you have heard our old music from high school, when we were called "Bold Minority", I want to let you know that it will be drastically different. We’re listed as "experimental/rock/ambient" but that’s probably because we don’t know what the heck we should list ourselves as. Hopefully we will be recording sometime in May or June, so you all will be able to listen to us, and maybe help us decide what genre we fall into. If you have heard a few of our guitar pieces up on our page, leave us a comment or something and let us know what you think. You can click on the link in my friends box, or if you need the url, here it is: http://www.myspace.com/adnascentia That is where you’ll find us.

Today, I haven’t really been having the greatest day thus far. I had to get up pretty early for a dp3 meeting, and I really didn’t want to. I slept about 6 hours last night, which isn’t nearly enough for this guy. So basically, I’ve been walking around like a zombie all day. But I did play drums a little bit, as well as reading news and stuff like that. I went to Greek class, and found out that we had a quiz today. I didn’t know this, so I ended up just getting up and leaving during the quiz without handing it in. Oh well, I know that he never grades our quizzes, only our tests. And as far as tests go I’m doing pretty good... So I’m safe there. I really don’t want to type any more, but we have 40 minutes left in class... Good grief, I’ve only been typing for 30 minutes? No... I started this after class started, so I’d say maybe 15 minutes. Gosh, this is really tough. Have you ever tried writing a blog this long? It’s terrible. It must be terrible to read. I wouldn’t want to read it, anyway. Where was I? Oh yeah, Greek. So I left. Well, I guess that’s all I was going to say...

And now our World Civ class is dragging on and on and on and on... much like this blog, right? I’m not really sure when this blog is going to end, I think I will just write until I have nothing else to say. I’ve got to be honest, that will probably happen really soon, since I’m just talking about how I have nothing to talk about. Oh, I had reheated Chipotle for lunch today! That’s interesting and delicious, right? You’re right, it really isn’t. Is it possible to get carpal tunnel from writing one insanely long blog post? I think it might be, because my wrist is hurting a little bit. Speaking of wrists, I watch some extras on the Donnie Darko DVD today, and they’re pretty great. The number one fan darkomentary is quite possibly the funniest extra I have seen in a movie. Yeah, it was even funnier than the gag reel on the Rush Hour 2 DVD. There was also an extra feature about the cult of Donnie Darko, but that was pretty boring. Well, kinda. If I were a "true" donnie darko fan, I would probably find it interesting, huh? No, because the movie is way better than some stupid extras. The extras are nice, and they’re especially fun to watch with friends. You should try it sometime.

I think I’m just about done, but I’m not quite sure. Oh yeah, another thing I wan
