alright, alright.
So, I have been informed that my last post was lame (thanks, Grace). And there was a second comment seconding the lameness of the post (thanks, Ashley). Therefore, I have decided to write a "legit" post, and at 1:30 in the a.m. to boot. Crazy, I know, but it turns out that I have been slacking off considerably in my blog postings. This is apparently unacceptable, so this is somewhat of a remedy to the problem. This weekend was a really good time. Grace has been planning a surprise party for me, and unfortunately, I discovered these plans on Tuesday evening. Don't worry, I was not snooping in the least bit. It was a freak accident that could not have been prevented. Regardless, this party went down Saturday evening, in the top (or 2nd to top) floor of the illustrious Fisher Building in Chicago. Some friends from school came, Grace's roommates were there, and Nate showed up with one of his amazing made-from-scratch cakes that he apparently "threw together" that morning. We played some pool, some fooseball, ate some good food, and listened to some tunes. However, these friends of mine had some pressing business to attend to, and ended up leaving earlier than expected. So, the rest of the night comprised of Grace, her roommates and I watching "Gone, baby, gone". It was a decent movie, although overall sad. Sunday morning came around, and Grace and I lounged, got ready, and went to grab some truly awful taco bell from a lousy excuse of a place by her apartment. Really, I know that Taco Bell isn't fine dining, but this place really brings disgrace to the chain that is Taco Bell. Absolutely horrid. Anyway, after the tacos (or whatever exactly they were) had been consumed, we got on the train to Deerfield. We went to the forest preserve and Grace took some photos of yours truly (due to me being so dashing), and then we hung out at Starbucks for a while. I read "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" for a while, as well as journaled. Grace was looking through some photographs. After this hanging out, we headed out to the incredible restaurant known as Olive Garden, in which Grace and I ordered the exact same entree, as always. We are so darn cute, let me tell you. The chicken alfredo was incredible, and after this, we returned to Trinity, hung out, prayed together, and she departed back to Chicago. After this, Ezra and I spent some time together, and then I returned to my dorm room. I know, you all wanted to hear that dull explanation of what my weekend entailed. Basically, I had to write something. It's not like I am always brimming with anything good to say, but you know how the saying goes, "You just GOTTA keep that blog updated, bro." Although I highly doubt the legitimacy of the origins of this statement, it is clear that something had to be done with turbid insights. For real, y'all. So there you have it. My weekend in a nutshell. I really large, dull, bitter nutshell. I will let you all know when I have written something worth reading.
