I'm terrified of running scared.

Two nights ago I happened to have the best luck in the world. Well, not exactly the BEST of luck. I have been holed up in my dorm room this whole spring break, and I wanted to go do something. So, I decided to go see "No Country for Old Men" at a nearby theatre. However, when I arrived there, the theatre had closed for no apparent reason. I was kind of pissed, but decided to make the best of it. So, I went to blockbuster, determined to make this particular Wednesday night a "let's watch a movie and eat a bunch of crap" night. I got in and saw a table with the greatest deal ever. 4 movies for 20 bucks. To own. I was delighted, and immediately set upon finding 4 movies that I would like to buy. I found three right away: The Exorcism of Emily Rose (pretty solid), Hot Fuzz, and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. These three movies, without a doubt, were worthy of being a part of my incredibly awesome movie library. However, it was difficult for me to find a fourth movie. So, I decided to get "Running Scared", which is an action flick that "makes kill bill look like sesame street" (actual quote from cover, mind you). So, I got these movies, bought some Wendy's, and watched Hot Fuzz. Great. Terrific. It was awesome. So, last night a few friends and I watched Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, and that was also terrific. However, today I decided to put in Running Scared. This movie is completely awful, and I am actually going to go so far as to say that if you have a soul, you will be disturbed by this film. Nay, Horrified. Perhaps so horrified that you will loath the fact that you are a human being. In the first five minutes of it, I watched a guy get hit achilles tendon hacked, another cop get his sack blown off, and another guy get aced in the temple with a shotgun. This movie has it all, folks. Child pornographers and kidnappers, strippers, pimps, prostitutes, thugs, mafia, crooked cops, drugs, gore, violence, full frontal nudity, and on and on. I couldn't even make it through the entire movie. I still feel crappy. Don't see this movie. On a lighter note, I got my new drum sticks and a new snare head in the mail today, which sounds great. I have been playing drums for a bit, it's been nice. I also have been listening to some underoath, since it's been a long while since that happened. So yeah, that's been my day so far. Really crappy in general, but I think that it's nothing a little legend of Zelda can't fix...
